Rob is a serial entrepreneur and technology early adopter, with social media being no exception. He owns a web development company, Web Wizards, and is also involved in business development at Fandom Marketing, a social media marketing company, with his latest venture being MingleStream, a live social stream display for events and venues.
He has previously spoken at North Park Music Thing on their social media panel, at the Cool Twitter Conference in Los Angeles, and at various user groups and college classes. Rob is a San Diego native, graduated from SDSU in Information Systems, and publishes the blog DowntownRob.com.

This session will discuss the three phases of event promotion: the pre-event promotion, during the event, and the post-event follow-up, as well as tactics and strategies for each one. It will also go over the major contributors to generating event buzz… iBat (influencers, benefits, audience, theme), as well as mistakes to avoid.
